Here’s another less professional picture of “Scout” which actually gives you a better sense of what the colors are like in person.

Here’s a progress shot of my current painting of “The Dance of Death”.

A painting from the model I’m doing at school. This is from only one very short session. I may end up posting more progress shots of this painting so you all can see a little bit of my process—or at least my process for this painting.

Two new charcoal drawings: the first is a portrait of Charlotte Peak, done from life during about an hour and a half sitting; the second is a self portrait, although I don’t think it looks too much like me.

Special thanks to Charlotte for doing such a good job modeling.

This is the finished version of the painting two posts below.

If anyone is interested, I’m posting the short story that inspired the painting. http://www.gutenberg.org/files/22661/22661-h/22661-h.htm It’s “La Morte Amoureuse” by Théophile Gautier, but the translated title for the gutenberg version is “Clarimonde”.

This is another face from my imagination. She’s not quite finished yet. Also oil on canvas, 9x12. I’ll post a picture of the final piece when it’s finished.
